Abstract

Looking at the science of Modern Psychology Western products, of course it is not uncommon for Muslim researchers to find concepts that are contrary to Islamic values. This is none other than the influence of the difference in perspective between secular Modern Psychology and Islamic values that emphasize the role of religion in life. Call it the theory of Sigmund Freud which states that the drive of sexuality exists since humans are born, even being the main mover (drive) of every movement of human life. Through this short article the author offers the Islamization of Modern Psychology through the theoretical approach of Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas. This process of Islamization begins by dissecting the error of the concept of man in the view of Modern Psychology and comparing it with the concept of man in accordance with the Islamic Worldview as embodied in Sharia.
