Majaz Isti’arah Makniyyah dalam Kitab Maulid Ad-Diba’i Karya Imam Abdurrahman Ad-Diba’i

Abstract

Balaghah is a branch of Arabic literature that studies various elements of Arabic literature. Authors have different styles in expressing each idea in their writing. One of the elements of language style found in the science of balaghah is the isti'arah makniyyah majaz, namely a majaz whose musyabbah bih is removed and characterized by one of its distinctive characteristics. The Book of Maulid ad-Diba'i is the work of a famous scholar from the city of Zabid, namely al-Imam Abdurrahman ad-Diba'i, whose contents are beautiful prose and poetry that praises the Prophet Muhammad. This book is often read by members of the public when there is an event such as the Prophet's birthday. Thus, this book needs to be researched more deeply regarding the majaz contained in it. This research aims to find out the form and meaning of the majaz isti'arah makniyyah in the book Maulid ad-Diba'i by Imam Abdurrahman ad-Diba'í. This research was conducted using a library study approach or library research method with a qualitative research design. Data collection procedures are carried out through documentation steps. The data that has been collected regarding majaz is then identified, interpreted and described. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the form of isti'arah majaz makniyyah contained in the book Maulid ad-Diba'i by Imam Abdurrahman ad-Diba'i was 17 data, while the meaning of majaz isti'arah contained in the book Maulid ad-Diba'i by Imam Abdurrahman ad-Diba'i has a connotative meaning that is intended to beautify the contents of the book and show the miracles of the prophet Muhammad saw.
