Abstract

Learning reinforcement is essential for students in the form of negative reinforcement and positive reinforcement. Negative reinforcement is done only to show the dislike of a teacher if his students do not achieve the expected learning outcomes. In contrast, positive reinforcement is given by the teacher to his students as feedback that can create a sense of enthusiasm and motivation to achieve the expected learning outcomes. This paper is a literature study comparing learning reinforcement from Skinner's Behaviorism and Islamic Education. The results obtained are that there is almost the same understanding of reinforcement in learning, both in Skinner's Behaviorism theory and Islamic Education's perspective. Although there are differences between the two, namely Skinner's Behaviorism tends to be factual and has been tested in research, while the Islamic view is still conceptual and does not use specific terms. Skinner's concept of Behaviorism views humans as very deterministic, where their environment primarily determines their behavior. The cause of human behavior in the environment, while humans are seen as nature in Islamic education. Namely as a human learner. Islamic Education sees from a macro perspective that learning activities are psychophysical activities that lead to complete personality development. In contrast, at the micro-level, learning activities are efforts to master certain materials to form a complete personality.
