Abstract

This study examines the problems of code-switching and code-mixing that occur due to staying students outside the modern Ar-Risalah Slahung Ponorogo Islamic boarding school. This type of research is a case study. In addition to conducting observations, researchers also used interview and documentation methods to collect data. The results showed that code-switching and code-mixing of the Ar-Risalah Islamic boarding school students occurred due to their lack of discipline and the ability to use language from each individual.
