Abstract

This study examines the relationships between cognitive, language, and social-emotional development in children in different social contexts. The aim of the study was to understand how these aspects of development interact with and are influenced by their social environment. The methodology used involved a longitudinal case study with structured observations and interviews with parents and educators. Data collected included cognitive development tests, language assessments, and evaluations of children’s social-emotional well-being. The results showed a significant relationship between language and cognitive development, with a supportive social context having a positive effect on children’s social-emotional well-being. These findings underscore the importance of a rich and supportive social environment in facilitating children’s holistic development. The conclusions of this study suggest the need for an integrated approach to supporting children’s development, including community-based interventions and social support.
